In january 2006, the ARTES real-time doctor Håkan Sundell have together with his former supervisor Philippas Tsigas started a new business, Parallel Scalable Solutions AB. The company offers software components designed using non-blocking technology, and can help software developers to achieve considerably more efficient and simpler solutions. The new non-blocking techniques have been shown to greatly increase parallelism, and thanks to the related strong termination guarantees and fault-tolerance it can be exploited especially well in real-time systems.
