Graduate Student Conference

at Mälardalen Real-Time Research Centre in Västerås, May 10-11, 1999.

Presentations

The participanting graduate students are expected to give a 20-30min presentation (including discussions) based on a position statement/extended abstract/paper to be submitted no later than April 26, 1999. In addition, there will be a presentation on "presentationsteknik" by Bengt Hemlin (in Swedish; and participants will recieve his book "Sammanfattningsvis skulle jag vilja säga...").

Conference fee

There will be no conference fee (but lunches, coffee and a conference dinner) and ARTES will cover the costs for one night accomodation and up to 1000SEK in travelling for registered ARTES Real-Time graduate students.

Senior researchers, industrial engineers and others are welcome to attend at a nominal fee.

Submissions

Graduate students that intend to participate should submit their position statement/extended abstract/paper (max 15 pages; no specific formatting requirements) via e-mail in postscript or pdf format to artes@docs.uu.se no later than April 26, 1999. Copies of the submitted material will be distributed at the conference, but no formal publication will be made. [The submissions do not need to be original, but should be of general interest and related to to the ARTES/PAMP profiles.]

Please indicate your intention to participate in the ARTES Graduate Student Conference via e-mail ASAP to artes@docs.uu.se using this form, but no later than April 19. Please indicate if you are RT-graduate student and/or planning to submit a paper.
